ABOUT THE PROJECT
Planning for Roy's Future
The 1900 West Economic Study and Action Plan will provide Roy City with an updated, objective understanding of where the corridor stands today and a roadmap for where it can go next.
As Roy’s primary commercial corridor, 1900 West has experienced significant changes in development patterns and the local economy in recent years. This project will assess current market, transportation, business, and property conditions and gather firsthand information from businesses, property owners, developers, and corridor stakeholders. With this foundation, the Action Plan will seek to:
Establish a shared vision for the future of 1900 West by identifying opportunities and challenges and building consensus among businesses, property owners, the City, RDA, and regional partners.
Prioritize public resources and investments along the corridor to strengthen existing businesses, support redevelopment, and incentivize new investment.
Provide current, market-based information that enables the City to more effectively evaluate opportunities and negotiate with prospective developers and other interested parties.
